What I had for breakfast yesterday may escape me at the moment but the year 1997 never will.  2013 marks my 26th year on this planet and nothing has even come close to impacting me more than that year, when I turned this many [yeah, I’m holding up all 10 fingers!] How could I possibly represent my beloved year properly? I had quite a few ideas, most of which involved maximum girl power and paranoid androids. I took the personal route and thought to myself, “What was I doing and where was I in 1997? Marching to my own parade, being one in a million, and being much too cool for 5th grade? Catch her if you can, Pepper Ann? Yes. And where was I? That’s easy, Rainbow Road — dodging red shells and not slipping on banana peels.”
